- Description
- This is a string quartet arrangement of Blaydon Races, a famous song from Tyneside in the north-east of England about an eventful bus trip from Balmbra's Music Hall in the city of Newcastle to the horse races in nearby Blaydon, situated on the Gateshead side of the River Tyne.
With the rain pouring down throughout the journey, the bus loses a wheel and various injuries are sustained, some requiring hospital attention. When they finally get there, one of the horses has been stolen.
